My Favorite "New Word" Story

When I started this assignment, I was impressed with a lot of the words that were considered and added to the dictionary. After looking at several definitions I could noticed a pattern on the definitions and a lot of them are coming from the internet and media which is why I though emojictionary is the best “new word” because it introduces and gives a glance to what the language is shifting towards and what tendencies are going to come in play every day. 

As a personal experience, when I text I always use emoji’s in my conversations. Sometimes emoji’s can express what I have to say in a more appealing way that only words and sometimes they do have special or double meaning which makes the conversation interesting at points. Although these is a good resource of communication I feel worried about upcoming tendencies where people are more likely to interact on the phone rather than face to face. I have come to the conclusion that now a day’s people lack confidence on face to face relations and are completely different behind a screen than on real life. People have to understand that texting is a good method of having the other person at reach all day but it can be destructive if that is all the interaction on people’s life.

Therefore, that’s why emojictionary is my favorite word. Because it compresses the hole new era and what we are shifting towards.
