Steve Harvey kind of Awards!

After a good ceremony at the Oscars, where LA LA LAND was the protagonist there was a hideous mistake on the best picture award. Last weekend ABC hosted one of the most claimed and viewed awards around the globe. The Oscars award the best movie performances of the last year and host a unique show with the most influential artists around the globe. As usual, the event starts with the red carpet showcase of all the famous clothing designs and their partners. Red carpet is commonly used to get some preview on the artist thoughts about the awards and some interviews for all the fans.

LA LA LAND has been the movie with most awards in the last year and it has been rated by the viewers as one of the best singing movies ever. But tonight, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway happen to mistakenly announce LA LA LAND as the best picture Oscar winner due to a logistic error and then being handed the wrong slip.

This mistake not only affected both movies, but affected all Oscars ceremony where people instead of talking about the movies achievements and that, where talking about this mistake and how the awards had the wrong slip. I think this kind of things should never happen and need to be corrected because it not only affects the people who made the mistake, but actually affects the movie performances and relevance of them. Better be more careful next time!

National celebration and such!

National Flirting Week!

It came to my attention that the United States had national’s days and weeks almost every day through a year. I am from Bogotá, Colombia and we do have national holidays but they are a couple through the year and they have a big history background and impact in our culture or they are international days. As far as what I’ve read I feel it is more a joke rather than something that is really celebrated every day.

Despite I can’t get the big image on what is the impact and why all these day have any matter on the American Society I choose the national flirting week as my favorite one. The national flirting week takes place on the second week of February right before Valentine’s day where people try hard to have a date for that day. It is the most appealing one to me just because of the fact that people here are very used to dating apps and in general just talking when is pertinent or they need something but as far as me I think there is always the opportunity to be nice, compliment a nice girl, say nice things to everybody and be appealing in general so that’s why I think it’s the best of all those day by day celebration weeks and days.

Ode to the Grammys!

Grammys is a big event broadcasted in almost all the world were many of the most influential musicians and artist get together and attend the awards for many different nominations.

Also media and fans have a big interest on the red carpet were the artist get together, take pictures and talk to the media about previews and who are they favorites. Artist dress risky and try to get the audience attention since the red carpet is all open to imagination so many take their dress way to out of the ordinary like Lady Gaga, she barely had clothes on.

The Grammy is not only a night if nominees but also a night full of joy and entertainment, the most influential artist all present songs and have unique routines to perform in such an important event even in songs that they didn’t write or in collaboration with other artist making a unique presentation. Grammys are very entertaining!

When giving the awards it was incredible! Adele demolished all her competitors. She won Album of the year, Song of the year, Record of the year, Best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album almost all in a row! she started her speech tanking for the 1^st Grammy and then she moved toward explaining her life and the struggles she had to get there. And finally on her last ones she gave a tribute to Beyoncé and said she was her inspiration.

Grammys where a night full of emotions, actions and some good performances totally worth to watch!
